Celebration Cookies is the long-anticipated dream of owner and creator, Leslie Barnes. Leslie is a psychologist by profession and has maintained a successful private practice in psychology in Tulsa, Oklahoma for almost forty years. For many years she has had a dream of owning and operating an online custom decorated cookie business and the time has finally come to actualize this dream. Leslie's family began making cut-out decorated cookies when she was four years old. The family had recently moved to a small town in northwest Kansas where Leslie's mother won a box of Christmas cookie cutters as a bridge party prize and this was the beginning of what was to become a holiday tradition that has included four generations of family members. Over the years the cookies have been shared with many friends, neighbors and relatives and many have remarked that these cookies are the best cookies they've ever eaten! As a mental health professional, Leslie recognizes that holiday and special occasion celebrations create positive memories and help to establish all-important family traditions which are important to the mental health and well-being of all of us.
